This website seeks to encourage to development and is devoted to the twin causes of Irish hurling ; that unique and ancient sport, and Gaelic football ; the sport that has a multi- pronged mid-19th Century lineage .Our aim therefore , put another way, is ….  “To see where we are now and where we should be going”

This site contains proposals for a revamp of present day hurling and football competitions, at club and county levels , both adult and under-age ; with a restructuring of the present formats. We may look forward to a future with club and inter-county teams in competitions, that are based on consistency and achievment in the main, being viewed and reviewed ,over a spell .But we should also be prepared to allow for the unpredicted surprise of the the unfancied minnow . This is the shock that lifts us all and gives those involved a great lift --- a clear pathway to achievement ;  time and space to consolidate, with realistic goals up ahead.  Here you will find proposals for such changes that are both practical and plausible.... but of course badly in need of a concerted Big Push from all concerned….merely voting in or giving the nod to new proposals, without much  hard work, vigilance and adaptability, is unlikely to see us enjoying, the fruits of our labours.

We shall deal mostly with hurling at inter-county level, for the next spell.

You are invited to look around our site and feedback will be most welcome.

This website is devoted to the cause of Irish hurling, the unique and ancient sport that defines our sense of national identity and culture.

(The 4 top Dal Riada will enter the premier championships at the knockout stages.)
